Application
Heavy Metal Precipitation in Wastewater Treatment
One of the key applications of disodium tetrasulphide is the treatment of industrial wastewater containing heavy metals.
When reacting with dissolved heavy metal ions, disodium tetrasulphide can form insoluble metal sulphides, which can subsequently be separated from the water as part of the wastewater treatment process.
Disodium tetrasulphide is therefore used in industrial wastewater treatment plants where targeted precipitation of heavy metals is required. Its liquid form enables convenient dosing and controlled addition to the respective treatment process.
